Highlights of this week's new arrivals include-
A superb port collection, deep in two of the best mature vintages for drinking now; 1970 and 1977. These wines are in superb condition, though with well stored port, that may mean the labels are a bit damp stained or distressed after long storage in cool damp conditions. If labels are important to you, please ask for photos, we are happy to oblige.
A small collection of mature Chinon from Charles Joguet,
Mature vintages of white Burgundy and Chablis from Verget, including the '95 Valmur, which famously brought tears to Pierre Rovani's cheeks as he tasted it...
Four bottles of one of Germany's most highly prized dry wines; Keller's Hubacker GG from the 2007 vintage. We offered Egon Muller's wines this week, saying they were Germany's greatest, well, Keller might be about the only other producer who could argue that point. (Though the wines could not be more different, to be sure.)
