2020 Workshops Include Offerings for Parents, Teachers & Administrators:

Gather, Pause and Nourish - Self-Care with Mindfulness Circles with Dave Trachtenberg and Jelena Popovic

Principals Liz Whisnant (Mann ES) and Megan Vroman (Ida B. Wells MS) will lead a session on Building a Mindful, Inclusive School Community

Early Childhood Educators Dina Shapiro, Irene Taguian, and Jacqueline Lee will lead a roundtable discussion on Applied Mindfulness in Early Childhood

AND Linda Ryden will lead hands-on sessions about her years of work with helping children apply their mindfulness skills to conflict resolution, building empathy, and other life skills. This workshop will be broken up into two separate sessions on Applied Mindfulness for Grades 1-3, and Applied Mindfulness for Grades 4-6.

After the Conference, DCPS educators are invited to join Krystal Butler and Bodé Aking, our SEL specialists, in a Community of Practice discussion! (optional- see Eventbrite for more information or to sign up.) 

We will begin check-in with continental breakfast at 8:15, welcome and Keynote begin at 9am.
