Procurement for Women's Economic Empowerment: Advancing Sustainable Development Goal #5
In March, UN Development Business, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Businesswomen's Network (CBW), hosted a panel discussion on procurement for women's economic empowerment. Representatives from UN Women and the Government of Kenya spoke on the panel and interacted with participants from the private sector, governments, international organisations and other stakeholders. See a snapshot of the discussion here.
The event took place alongside the 60th session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, dovetailing the inaugural meeting of the newly formed High-Level Panel on Women's Economic Empowerment.
