Latest news & Development Business statistics: April 2016

UN Development Business kicked off the year 2016 with a 10% uptick in the volume of projects published in Q1, compared to the same period in 2015. While Africa and Latin America & the Caribbean continue to be the top regions for development projects, in this quarter, South Asia's representation in our database rose to 15%, from around 12% last year. This rise was led by scores of projects in the power/energy and health/nutrition sectors. Also of note, Côte d'Ivoire joined the list of top project countries in our database, bolstered by consultancies from the African Development Bank.
