Welcome Kathy West & David Christiana as new Board members

Kathy West has recently returned to Patagonia and has agreed to serve on our Board of Directors.  Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and lots of energy.
David Christiana, who lives in Patagonia Estates, is a hydrologist who has stepped up to join our Board.  He serves on several other boards and will be a great addition to the FOSC Board of Directors.

Earth Day, April 18 in Patagonia features speakers, tours and booths

The program for Earthfest will be coming soon.  This link is to a post regarding the presentation on the yellow-billed cuckoo.
Kate Tirion will be guiding guests to her Deep Dirt Farm and Institute at 2pm.

At our booth you will find  new displays and handouts.
Renew your membership or become a new member.
We would welcome our members to help staff the booth.  Get involved by standing with FOSC as you staff our booth at this and other festivals.
We would train you and not leave you alone.  Call Bob Proctor (209-156-4808) to
volunteer. It is fun and you get to talk to many interesting people.

Mark your calendars: Science on the Sonoita Plain May 30 at Tin Shed in Patagonia

The 12th Annual Science on the Sonoita Plain will be held on Saturday, May 30 at the Tin Shed in Patagonia.  Come to hear the latest research and developments about our beautiful San Rafael grasslands.  The website gives the details for submitting papers and for registration.

Friends of Sonoita Creek is partnering with other organizations to hold this event.

Borderlands thanks the Dirt Bags with lunch at  Pulliam's home

The Dirt Bags had clocked 729 hours of trailwork this season by February 1.  They have worked on 8 trail systems and have several more scheduled before the summer heat.  Notice their work as you hike on groomed trails in the Sonoita Creek watershed.

Check out the new Friends of Sonoita Creek website. Our website has been recently redesigned by Aisha Chapra Sander.  It is still a work in progress, but we are very happy with what she has done.
If you would be interested in contributing to the content of the new website, email us with your ideas.
