AC Advisory Council Meeting - Friday, November 4th at 7:30 a.m.

The next ACAC meeting will be on Friday, November 4 at 7:30 a.m. in Building D, Conference Room B*. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. The first part of each meeting is typically set aside for Public/Parent comments and questions. *See campus map below if needed.

AC Fall Information Meeting

Tuesday, October 18th: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Building D, BHS Library, 2nd Floor
AC parents and guardians: Please join the lead AC teachers, AC VP Ms. Felicia Phillips and other AC parents for Fall Information Night on Tuesday, October 18 from 7 pm to 9 pm in Building D in the BHS Library on the 2nd Floor. Campus Map
This is your opportunity to hear from AC teachers, counselors and administrators about AC. Subject department heads will share information about each department, a helpful information packet about AC and course progression will be handed out and discussed, there will be an opportunity to ask questions, resources for students will be presented and more. Don't miss this important evening!

All members of the AC community are welcome and encouraged to attend. There will be light refreshments served and time to meet and socialize with others in the AC community a bit before and after the meeting.

Monday Morning Meeting Breakfast for Our Hardworking Teachers  Food Contributions Needed!

On most Monday mornings, while your kids are enjoying the chance to sleep in a bit, our AC teachers are meeting to plan, collaborate and work hard for our students. Let's show them some love! Please contact Caroline Bettendorf if you are interested in helping provide coffee & breakfast food for our AC teachers.

The next two meetings will be Monday, October 24th & Monday, October 31st. Please let Caroline know if you can help provide coffee to-go boxes (or donations to help cover coffee cost), one gallon of fruit juice, protein dishes such as quiche, frittata, or hard boiled eggs & healthy breakfast breads. AC Teacher Wish List!

There are many ways to support our teachers! One of the easiest is by going to the SignUpGenius Wish List link below and choosing something to donate to our hardworking teachers! Check it out:

Items should be clearly marked and brought to the BHS front desk. Ask the front desk volunteer to put the item(s) in Ms. Felicia Phillips' office please. If you order something online to be delivered to the school, be sure the name of the teacher it is intended for is part of the order.

AC Advisory Committee (ACAC) Notes from October 7th

October Meeting Summary: The October  ACAC  meeting included parent comments about the need for a Student Voice Committee and a discussion of some of the issues students might need  a 'voice' around, Lisa Miller's generous offer for more free Study Skills Workshops for AC students from Classroom Matters, a report from BHS teacher, Matt Carton, about how his summer grant money was spent, a report from BHS teacher, Amanda Marini, on how her grant money was spent, a request to fund a mobile computer cart lab for AC teachers and students, a vote to create a budget sub-committee to make the budget process more efficient and all around better, info. about upcoming field trips and more.
