THE PARFITT-PASCOE WRITING RESIDENCY PLUS A SPECIAL OFFER!

The Parfitt Pascoe Writing Residency (PPWR) is named after expat authors, FIGT advocates (honored with FIGT ‘Trailblazer’ awards in 2010) and longtime friends Jo Parfitt and Robin Pascoe. In return for writing about the sessions, four select writing scholars are invited to attend the FIGT conference at a reduced fee. Prior to the conference, these scholars receive one-on-one mentoring from Jo Parfitt on writing articles, taking notes and preparing for their writing responsibilities. The scholars are tasked with covering every session of the conference, conducting interviews with experts in attendance and writing reviews of expat/ TCK related books. They will also be publishing blog posts in the months following the conference and are active on social media before, during and after the conference. Completing all of these tasks requires motivation, organization, diligence and a passion for writing.

Over the coming months, the FIGT blog will be featuring articles about the 2016 conference from this year’s PPWR scholars. Find more information about the PPWR here.

The 2014 PPWR yearbook is available on sale at Amazon here. Please note that the Kindle version of the 2014 edition of Insights and Interviews from the FIGT Conference will be available free of charge from Amazon from June 1-5. Reviews of the book on Amazon or any other platform afterwards would be very gratefully received. Jo and her team are currently working on publishing the 2015 yearbook as well.
