From the very beginning FIGT has been passionately built up by its champions, members and believers.
In the last few years of transition to a membership organization a small dedicated team of Board members and supporters has restructured and grown our organization. We made our first global move in 2016 and there are braver milestones to come!

What are Board of Directors and Committee Members?
Board of Directors:
FIGT’s Board of Directors is responsible for both execution and governance of mission and strategy. It comprises volunteer Board Members elected for 2-year terms from amongst current FIGT members.
Four Executive Committee roles, oversee the overall functioning of the Board: the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Executive Secretary. Each Board member is expected to chair a committee.
Committee Members:
Each Board Chair’s committee is staffed by non-Board members. Committees will implement strategies and meet goals for the year. Ideally many committee members will eventually step up to nominations for Board of Director positions.
All Board Directors and committee members are voluntary positions.

How will the Nominations Process work?
To apply formally for a Board role; please fill the application form and submit a resume as early as possible.
The deadline is Saturday April 15, 2017.
All applications for Board positions will be sent to the 2017 Nominations Committee who will then shortlist candidates for interviews. The Nominations Committee will present its final nominees slate to the Board in early June, and post Board approval the slate will be presented to members in late June, 2017. After member approval, the OnBoarding process for incoming Board Members will start in September, 2017 with terms officially beginning on October 1st.
