Don’t be afraid to make a change in the game if things aren’t working for your team. Sometimes we get so attached to a system or the players in specific positions that we fail to see it isn’t working against a particular opponent. The change can come from switching out players or within the personnel on the field itself. If you’re playing in an event that limits your substitutions you may need to be more creative and use the existing field players. If you have unlimited substitutions, a change from the sideline may be the best move. Either way, don’t wait for something bad to happen before you make the decision. It is much harder to chase the game down a goal than to admit things aren’t working and adjust.
