The warm-up is a very important part of the preparation to play. There are certain muscle groups that need to be engaged so specific movements are required in order for the body to be ready for the rigors of the game. The club is working on a club-wide warm up to be implemented soon. In the meantime, make sure the warm up is dynamic in its movement. Stretching should be done on the move to engage the muscle groups more actively. Passing, receiving, dribbling, turning and movement off the ball should also be a part of the warm up. Do not let your players start shooting or hitting longer balls before they are ready and loosened up.
