eTattler Junior YouthTelltale #3

Firstly our first weekly fun video    https://youtu.be/K7PYuAZwBXY

Well after all the warm up regattas elsewhere we finally came home for a race and Opening Day before putting boats back on cars ready for Albury. Good to see the kids race while it was too windy for the adults.

Jazzy showed the boys her stern as she started at full speed and didn’t look back. Will’s brand new boat was so fast it beat the starters gun!! Well done to Kate James in coming third in the aggregate. And a huge welcome back to Henry winning Green fleet. With the youths it was great to see two Lasers race.

We haven’t received any interest in racing this Sunday at MYC while the rest of us are in Albury. Let us know if you’re keen.

Looking forward to the first Friday Fun of the season Friday 6 November.
Mels Coaching Tips

Last Sunday the wind dropped a lot soon after the start. It was obvious that few were able to change their sails to power up and go faster. I’ve attached one of the many tuning guides on the web. Can I draw your attention to the comments about the boom vang in different wind strengths. Also the comments about the sail creases. This is fairly generalised, specific sail makers might be more specific
