MYC sailors must enter
Hi All,

Great to see 20 Optis, 5 420s, 3 Lasers a Bic and a huge cruise ship out there last week. Click here for results. Well done to Sassy and Digby taking out honours between them in Club Champs and Aggregate in the Greens. The big new mother ship rib was watching. In Open Fleet, Daniel Laverty took out Aggregate in both races. James and Will took out honours in the Open Opti Club Champs. In the Off the beach Azzurra looked great Steph sailing with Sophie winning the first aggregate. Lucy was sailing with Chloe Harper. Kate and Immi took out the 2nd Aggregate race.  In Club Champs, Steph and Sophie took race one, the Richardson twins race 2.

Another great sunny Friday night saw over 10 boats out supervised by Sophie and Ella. Kids having fun, swapping between boats and capsizing, just because it’s fun.

Next Sunday is a bit busier with help needed. On that point, if your are just coming to the Opti shed each Sunday, it would be great to get some more help getting ribs in and out of water, buoys and anchors sorted etc etc.

This Sunday is the sail down (weather dependent) to Davey’s Bay and then afternoon racing for the Neate-Starkins Trophy  We need as many private ribs as possible to shadow the fleet down and help with the OTBs sail back. For those who are new to this, we leave the Optis there ready for Lidgett Trophy the following week. FYI for the private ribs - DBYC runs on Channel 72, but the tower isn’t high enough, so they will only hear you when you can see them. So plan on staying on Channel 73 until rounding the corner then switch to 72. Plan is a 9:50 briefing then 10:00 departure, in order slow to fast, green Optis first, 420s last with the aim of arriving together.

Lidgett is almost sold out. We are responsible for running green fleet so will be asking a few to help with that.

I’m in Adelaide this weekend, have fun, see you at Lidgett
