From The Commodore

Hi Everyone and Happy Valentines

Congratulations Sophie McKenzie, Zac Heyes, James Jackson and Lachlan Weber for attending the Australian Optimist Sailing team in Adelaide. A wonderful achievement in their short but successful sailing career.

Sailing on the weekend saw wonderful conditions on the Saturday for the Hovell Pile race and our two current Australian Sailing Chansons Graeme Taylor (Etchells) and Rhett Gowans (Laser radial) skippering Etchells in the AUDI Mornington Club Championship

I need to remind you again of  upcoming  important events that we require participants and volunteers for:
18 February - New Member Breakfast - The number of new members is so pleasing
25 & 26 February Schnapper Point Regatta.
The clubs oldest and most prestigious annual sailing event. This year it is for all Monohull Dinghies and old classics  but the Sailing committee inform me that it will return to being for ALL fleets  in 2018.
11 & 12 March Victorian Couta Boat State Championships.  A first for Mornington.
17 March  Biannual Business Lunch with Guest Speaker Mal Hart - Hart Marine
Please BOOK ASAP through the web articles below.

Good luck this weekend to all those at the Lidgett Trophy!!

See you at the club soon, Sheryl Schumacher
