Hi everyone,
Last Sunday
it was great to see 14 Optis for the first race of the season. The water was a bit cold for some. Congrats to Millie on winning the Aggregate then James and Will close behind. In fact it was good to see the racing so close.

And well done for the kids in the sail past, more little boats than big boats.

This weekend lots of us are off to Sail Country on Lake Hume. A favourite regatta for a lot of parents as we get to sit back and relax watching from the hill.

This weekend there is nothing in the calendar for Optis and Youths at MYC because of Sail Country. If there is enough interest for a kids fun sail please let me know in the next 24 hours and we’ll put something together

Pacers - while tax deductible donations are still able to be done on-line, we also have the raffle happening. Last Thursday night Immi managed to sell all of her booklet. If kids (with some help) could take advantage of Thursday nights when we have lots of people visiting, it all helps raising money for those Pacers.

Fun Friday starts on the 4th. Mel plans on taking the serious kid coaching at 4 and then helping the others soon after 5. That is, the Fun bit starts after 5. The big kids can then play or mentor the younger ones. This is the fun and social time, and can always be extended with dinner afterwards in the club.

Can I just ask a few things please:  We don’t have enough resources to include young ones until they have graduated from Tackers 3 or the equivalent.
  • Please don’t let them leave the beach, especially with an easterly, until we have a rib for them on the water.
  • With younger kids please don’t leave the club in case they come in early.
  • As on Sundays, help with launching and retrieving ribs is always appreciated.
Thanks Andrew Weber
