It was always going to be a busy weekend.  The First real Friday Fun last week. Apologies to the greenies just starting out. While it looked sunny and flat, it was gusting 20 knots out there, and we had some experienced kids capsizing. Please bring life jackets. So good to see Lulu, Henry and Brooke gaining some confidence in difficult conditions. Well done. Not sure why though the 2 little boys octured together needed to sail together.

Saturdays weather turned out to be half reasonable for the first Kids on Keelboats Race. Thanks to Cam McKenzie for the inspiration, and Steve Bardsley for the advertising. As Bill Bennett said, Saturday sailors don’t know Sunday, and Sunday don’t know Saturday. They sure do now. Thanks to all the big boats for hosting the kids. Everyone looked like they had fun, a great get together. A special mention to Phoenix who only had kids steer. Might mention an Optimist sailor won the start, well done Jazzy. Next time we might have to award the first boat with a junior helm.  Many adults were impressed at the level of our MYC kid’s sailing. Have a peek at what they get up to the next day

Sunday racing was cancelled but we had some good training in big waves. Great preparation for Adelaide Nationals. Have a look at the 2 videos below of our kids on Sundays in big waves having a wee bit of fun.

Next Friday I’m away so looking for volunteers for Friday Fun please.

Sunday is racing for The Aggregate series and this far out it looks sunny and light, how unusual.

Have Fun
