Last Sunday Photo Finish,  The Frog and Seas the Bay

eTelltale #41
Hi All,
Away from MYC, we had 5 Optis sailors in Adelaide familiarising themselves with local conditions including 25 knots and breaking waves on the Saturday!
Last Sunday:  Our Club Captain has started almost every Sunday race for two years so it was nice to see him have a day off , with some others off in SA for pre-nationals training, bolts and I jumped in to start with Tony and Stuart laying marks and Brett James rescue. 6  x 420 including the mighty FROG 2 lasers and five Optis and two Bics. A black flag saw 4 z 420s OCS in race two so Immi and Kate won from Stan and jack( the boys had no tiler extension or vang) who laughed their way around. Great to see Christopher and Courtney on the water.  Jeremy had a good day in the Opti.

All the kids and youth are welcome to join in with Santa and have a sail on Thursday night and we will be looking for both club and Christmas spirit in trying to raise some more money for the pacers via our foundation: $10 dollar raffle tickets or $50 dollars for a book of 6 Or you can via the sport commission donate tax free. So far we have had a $10k donation and a number of significant donations. So weather it's $10 or 10k we would love to push this important project along. This will help our sailing school with adult and junior training and also open up the great world of schools and club teams racing.
So if your or a friends business is looking for a good story of community involvement and or loves our club or sport then please call Rod 59757001 or any of the flag officers. We have raised over $25K but need $70k for the project. As James and Lachie found last Thursday, kids are much more likely to get a response as its all about them. We will have lots of people down there and lots of festive cheer, so please sell as many as possible before the draw this week. The Raffle is drawn tomorrow night!

No, there is no racing this Sunday!
