From The Commodore

Hi Everyone,
Thank you first of all to the the volunteers this season
35 plus Sailability Volunteers, 15 Race Crew, 12 Thursday action group TAG and of course the various sub committees and committees always tirelessly working for the club they love.
Well done to all those  that competed in the night race. It was not quite overnight but very successful I hear. Saturday and Sunday racing also had wonderful conditions and a great turn out at the club. Also Friday Lunch was wonderful to see so many at the Ladies  Luncheon.
There are upcoming  important events that we require participants and volunteers for:
18 February - New Member Breakfast - The number of new members is so pleasing
25 & 26 February Schnapper Point Regatta.
The clubs oldest and most prestigious annual sailing event. This year it is for all Monohull Dinghies and old classics  but the Sailing committee inform me that it will return to being for ALL fleets  in 2018.
11 & 12 March Victorian Couta Boat State Championships.  A first for Mornington.
17 March  Biannual Business Lunch with Guest Speaker Mal Hart - Hart Marine
Please BOOK ASAP through the web articles below.

Those that have raised recently their concerns with Non members at the club, the faulty Lift Operations and Function room carpet conditions I can assure you the General Committee are equally as concerned. Starting this Thursday there will be member checks before and after the twilight race and the others are being addressed this year. I believe Scot White and Anthony Cincotta are bonding the artificial grass as I speak.
See you at the club soon, Sheryl Schumacher

The Rocks Thursday Twilight Menu:

Cheese Burger and Chips $18
Spaghetti Marinara $22
