Hi Everyone,

Couldn’t complain about a nice 10 knots last Sunday, good sailing to be had. Two races for the aggregate (handicap) series. Well done to Greenies - Sassy, Digby and Hunter then in the 2nd race Seb, followed by Digby and Hunter. In the Open, Hutchinsons led the way, Thomas then Brooke followed by McKenzie Heyes.  Then in the second race Lachie took honours after Jazzy jumped the gun. Welcome to Daniel Laverty and Hugo Vandame taking out other places.  In the OTB's same result both races - John Tadich in the Sabre, then Denver followed by Kate and Immi.

This weekend there will be a few away at different lead up regattas with Sail Melbourne Word Cup the following weekend. We will still have Trophy Races at MYC over the next 2 Sundays. Great chance for the younger sailors with the big kids away. We need more parent helpers for these days, please let us know who can help????

This Friday we will just have Fun Friday after 5, but no coaching for older kids who can rest for a big weekend. As I write the forecast is 20 knots so please check emails Friday afternoon as yet again on a Friday we only have Friday Fun for Greenies if it’s going to be fun.

As part of Sail Melbourne the McKenzie's and Weber's plus help from the Heyes’ are hosting some Chinese sailors from Quindao where many of our young sailors have raced over the last few years. Next Monday (5th) or Tuesday depending on their flights, we would like to welcome them with a fun sail followed by an early dinner at the club with as many Team MYC that can come. Good to get to know some locals before the crowds of St.Kilda and give them a chance to sail on Port Philip.
See you at the Club! Andrew Weber
