From The Commodore

Hi Everyone,

On behalf of all our members our heartfelt thoughts go to the Ross Family at this sad time.  Keith's funeral is being held this Thursday, the 15th Dec, 2pm at Tobin Brothers, Mt Martha with the wake here at the club from 3.15pm.

It was so nice to see so many boats out sailing at the weekend here at the club and we had some great results from our youth in the Sailing World Cup in Melbourne.  In the 420 class Nick Sharman and James Grogan came second and are now in New Zealand ready to compete for Australia in the Youth Worlds.  Other great results: Rhett Gowans and Brody Riley 4th & 6th respectively in the Laser Radials in a fleet of 44 & in the Laser 4.7 new member Corey Riley came 4th.  In the Optis James Jackson came 18th in a fleet of 95 and congratulations also to Lachie Weber, Jack Eickmeyer & Jasmine Evenden for reaching the Gold Fleet.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here at MYC...a reminder that we have the Ronstan Band playing for us Thursday week, the 22nd of December and Santa will be here to vist too!

See you at the club, Sheryl
