Not long to the season starts properly now. If your Opti has been in the shed for winter it may be a bit dirtier than the last time you saw it. Did I mention Rats! This Sunday is a working bee and we do need some volunteers to clean out the Shed and extend our racking.

Great results from the weekend Springsail in Geelong. I put big boat in water last night so am happy summer is near.

Our MYC Optimist Sailors results were amazing.
9 in Open Fleet and 5 in the Top 11. The best of any club!!
Special Mentions:
2nd Jasmine Evenden 1150
3rd Lachie Weber  1670

Our 420 Fleet

Thank You to Mel Hitchen-Haw for being a great support and coach to the MYC Team. All that winter training is showing. On Friday Mel wants to chat to the juniors about her plans for their coaching now its getting warmer.

Pet day today was a great day, thank you for those of you that came down to support us - lots of prizes were given away & the gold coin donation, pet clothing sales and raffle tickets total came to $235 which will go toward the Pacer funding.

On Sunday the 9th Mel is organising Rob Ware to talk on racing rules. I’m sure everyone has something to learn and he’s a great person to get such advice from. Then our first fun race is on the 16th.

See you at the club! Andrew Weber
