Know Your Worth: Strategies for successful salary negotiation in the proposal space
Kathryn Bennett, CPSM, is a proposal management expert and lean six sigma green belt with more than 12 years of sales and communications experience. As the Director of RFP Excellence at Loopio, she promotes best practices, advocates for the use of marketing automation, and spreads the good word about process improvement. Kathryn believes that every proposal manager deserves a 40-hour work week. In her free time, Kathryn is a world-record-holding strength athlete and competes on the national level in the sport of strongman.
Tired of feeling overworked and underpaid? Proposal departments often get the short end of the stick when it comes to resourcing, headcount, and even individual salary. Today's marketplace for proposal professionals is hot, hot, HOT! You don't have to settle for pennies when you're one of the largest revenue drivers at your organization. In this presentation, we'll teach you how to make a business case for more money, employer red flags that mean it's time to start a job search, and even basic salary bands for proposal writers, managers, and business developers. Walk into your annual performance review thoroughly armed with the right information to earn what you're worth!

Holding a board position within an APMP chapter helps you receive credit toward your required CEU's for certified APMP members. We are a virtual chapter, so you do not need to be in Florida to be a member or board member of our chapter. We encourage members to join our board for the first time and please share our open positions with your friends and colleagues within APMP.
Our board is a fun, dynamic, and collaborative group looking for a few fresh faces!
