Young Women’s Vocation Retreat

The “Here I Am” young women’s vocation retreat on Saturday was very blessed! Eight teenagers from around this diocese (and neighboring dioceses) joined the Sisters of St. Joseph and the Servants of the Pierced Hearts to learn what it is like to be a Religious Sister. These young women had the opportunity to hear vocations stories, pray together, and grow in fellowship. It was a blessing to get to know them and see their openness to the Lord’s will in their lives. Please pray for all vocations!

Catechist Formation Update
Catechist Formation (DCCP) Classes
The Schedule. We continue to receive requests for copies of the schedule of classes. The schedule and all registrations are now online. Visit http://www.orlandodiocese.org//catechist-formation-classes to view the instructions and the Class Schedule tab for the schedule of classes. The blue name of the class is also the link to the registration page.

Upcoming classes. Three classes are offered on October 17th – at St. Peter, Deland and Sts. Peter and Paul, Winter Park. Church History (Course 214) is the capstone course for catechist formation, taken at or near the end of formation to synthesize what the other courses have taught. The First Communion Catechesis (307) and Reconciliation Catechesis (309) courses are offered on the same weekend, in the morning and the afternoon, for sacramental catechists. These courses provide theological background as well as practical examples of the prayers, environment and suggested activities adaptable in the parish for preparation for the sacraments of First Penance and First Eucharist. Now is a good time to enhance the formation of your Sacramental Catechists.

Hispanic Ministry Update

Parroquia de Good Shepherd:
La parroquia de Good Shepherd finalizará con un concierto mariano bilingüe el 2 de octubre uniendo las parroquias de Blessed Trinity, St. Isaac y Good Shepherd. Una importante iniciativa de la parroquia de Good Shepherd es que presentará los temas del cuaderno de la misión mariana en inglés y en español.
Bible Verse of the Week

Let the dead bury their dead.
But you, go and proclaim the Kingdom of God.
"
Lk 9:60
