SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY SUMMIT
Small Christian Communities are a tremendous way to support and grow the faith among various parish groups, ministries, and demographics.  Join us for our Small Christian Community Summit on Tuesday, November 3rd featuring board members of the North American Forum for Small Christian Communities.  This workshop will help us take a good look at our parish ministries and structures and identify ways that we can better evangelize and reach out to people using the Small Christian Community Model.  For more information or to register Click Here.

Facebook and Parish Religious Education
Dee Skomer posted an interesting article “Friending” Facebook for Your Religious EducationProgram on the Catechist’s Journey Blog, sponsored by Loyola Press. (http://catechistsjourney.loyolapress.com/
Sep 29, 2015) If you wish to harness some of the social media activity that surrounds all of us for your religious education program, then this post is for you. The article discusses getting started, getting out the word, and suggestions for content. As she says, it isn’t as tough as you think. While you’re planning your page, review the Social Communications Policies and Procedures document on the diocesan intranet so you remain in compliance. Happy posting!

Family Ministry Update
Greetings from the Office of Family Ministry.

Some of you may know me from my previous role as Director of Faith Formation at Nativity Church.  I am happy to be here and look forward to serving the Diocese in a new capacity.  I look forward to seeing those of you I know and getting to know those of you I haven’t yet met.
I have been busy familiarizing myself with some of the materials used in the marriage preparation process and plan on meeting with presenters and facilitators soon.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 407.246.4882 or lmonckton@orlandodiocese.org.

Bible Verse of the Week

When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come.  Give us each day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test."
Lk 11:2-4

The Diocesan Calendar is now set up to include all Diocesan events. If you have an event which you would like the rest of the Diocese to know about, submit your event to the Communications Office using the link below. Once processed, your event will end up on the main calendar on the Diocesan website, categorized by ministry.
Use the color coded tabs along the bottom to view events pertaining to a particular ministry. We hope this will aid communication about events between different parish communities. Let us know what you think!
