These online workshops are for managers and field staff of financial institutions that have implemented alternative delivery channels/ digital financial services and want to improve performance.

Since an eWorkshop is an interactive training event that involves learning from peers, the minimum number of participants is 20. Depending on interest, these workshops will be offered in English, French and Portuguese.

PHB Academy and MicroLead release their first DFS Toolkit

Using Mobile as a Tool
PHB Academy, in collaboration with UNCDF Microlead, published the first in a series of six toolkits aimed at supporting financial service providers (FSPs) to go digital.

It describes the first model a FSP can choose,Using Mobile as a Tool:

• Using mobile devices (POS, phones, tablets) as tools to facilitate daily operations
• Providing new services through mobile devices (eg: savings collection)
• Using mobile agencies (mobile branches, netbooks) instead of physical branches

The toolkit consists of two documents: A business model description and a set of case studies. The case studies describe three MicroLead partner institutions: Sinapi Aba Savings & Loans in Ghana, Buusaa Gonofaa in Ethiopia and CPEC in Benin.
