SATURDAY, MAY 4 - Gardening: Hanging Baskets workshop, Bedford House, Westbury Road, Buckhurst Hill. Learn how to plant up your own basket of colourful varieties. (10am-12.30pm). SATURDAY, MAY 4
- Saturday Coffee Concert, St John's Church, St John's Road, Epping (11am-11.45am with coffee served from 10.30am). A recital by Diversions A varied programme of music for soprano, flute and piano. Entry free. Retiring collection in aid of the Musical Ministry at St John's Church.

SATURDAY, MAY 4 - Holy Cross Day in Waltham Abbey. 
11.30am and 2.30pm - Church tours
12.30 pm - Music for Lunch in the Abbey Church with Megan Linnell (soprano) and Claire Habbershaw (piano). Admission free. Retiring collection. Refreshments served noon-12.30pm.
1.30pm - Procession from Cornmill car park (behind Waltham Abbey Town Hall) through the town centre ending at the Cloisters behind the Abbey Church at 2pm. 
The bells will be rung during the procession. Assemble for procession from 1pm
2.15pm Tower open until 3.45pm – last entry 3.30pm (throughout the day, except between 12.30pm and 1.15pm).
Two recently found short films from the 1950s and 1960s will be shown in the Lady Chapel - A Church Fete at now demolished Joyce House, and the 1960 Holy Cross Day Service which was the 900th anniversary of the Founding of King Harold’s Church.
