Staff and children at Stapleford Abbotts Primary School are experiencing the dawn of a new era with a new name for the school which has now joined The Kemnal Academies Trust.
Stapleford Abbotts Primary Academy - as it has been known since the start of the year - joins the Trust which also runs King Harold Academy in Waltham Abbey and Debden Park High School in Loughton.
Kim Thackray, who is continuing in her role as Head of School at King Harold Academy, has been appointed headteacher of Stapleford Abbotts Primary Academy with Sharon Simpson Head of School.
Mrs Thackray said: "We appreciate that parents have seen many changes at the school and imagine that their wish is for stability and continuity to ensure their children receive the best education possible.
"Miss Simpson and I have worked together for many years and most recently have taken an Essex primary school in very challenging circumstances to a 'good' outcome by Ofsted.
"We have taught and been leaders in both secondary and primary school settings."
She added: "I will be working with Miss Simpson to drive the school forward. Our experience gives us a full understanding of what progress the children will need to make to achieve age-related expectations.
"We know what will excite them and will create for them a school where learning is
interesting, challenging and thought provoking, in a safe and happy environment."
Miss Simpson said: "We will work tirelessly to ensure that Stapleford Abbotts Primary
Academy is a school that our community can be proud of.
"We both have high expectations for the school, all its staff and for the outstanding
education that we will provide.
"Together we will work with parents to the same end and with the same purpose for their children to be happy and to achieve remarkable things.
"We believe standards and expectations must be high, and we will support everyone to achieve them."
