End of Year Report
2018 has been an exciting year for BD Scotland region. A new committee with fresh ideas and a positive outlook have been working incredibly hard for all members in Scotland.

The BD Scotland Regional Committee would like to share with our members what we have been doing this year, what hasn’t quite gone the way we hoped and where we intend to focus our attention in 2019.  Please click here to read our end of year report

Equikro BD Scotland Awards Ball
The committee would like to express their thanks to Equikro for their generous sponsorship of the 2018 awards ball. It was fantastic to see so many members looking glamorous and dancing the night away. Following the success of this year we will now be looking at date options for 2019. BDCC (UKCC) Level 2 Course
We are delighted to announce that in the spring of 2019 we will be running a BDCC (UKCC) level 2 course at Rockrose Equestrian Sports Centre. Please click here to read full course details including how to apply for funding with horsescotland.

Regional Committee Vacancy
The BD Scotland regional committee are seeking a Coaching Representative to support and develop coach training and education opportunities in the region. Please click here to read the full role description.

What's planned for 2019?
 Steward upgrade course
 Level 1 to level 2 upgrade course for existing stewards. Taking place at Morris Equestrian Centre on Saturday 12 January. Click here to book. 

 BD Youth Roadshow
BD Coach Educator Harry Payne will be presenting a series of days discussing BD Youth coaching and the use of the Rider Skills tests. All members with an interest in BD Youth – coaches, riders and parents are strongly encouraged to attend one of these days to learn more about the BD Youth pathway.

BD Youth Easter Camp - save the date!
We are pleased to confirm that we will be holding a BD Youth Easter camp on 11 & 12 April at Rockrose Equestrian Sports Centre with the added bonus of a competition on 13 April! For 2019 we will be incorporating the BD Youth show into the British Dressage competition at Rockrose on 13 April. 

Make sure you keep checking the website for BD Youth training dates around the region. There will be regular evening sessions in Aberdeen with Harry Payne, Diana Zajda will be taking sessions at Netherton, Scott Mclellan will continue evening training at Morris Equestrian and more trainers and locations will be added shortly.  Dressage to Music Tour
 We are delighted to announce that Equidance will be coming to Scotland to present a series of demo evenings  on all aspects of Dressage to Music. We will also be offering  clinic days across the region to give members the opportunity to create their own Dressage to Music arrangement.

 Judge Seminars with Jo Graham 
 2 May - Trainees, List 6 and List5
 3 May - List 4, 3 and 3A 

Funding from a horsescotland grant will be available for List 2, 2A & 1 judges to assist with travel costs to attend the required seminar.  

 Senior Camp - Save the date!
 Senior camp 2019 will be taking place at Highfield at Howe on 3 & 4 June. Further details to be released early 2019. We are also planning a specialised FEI level High Performance camp for senior riders!
Please note the BD Scotland office will be closed from Monday 17 December until Wednesday 2 January. The British Dressage head office will be closed on Monday 24 December until Wednesday 2 January.
