- 3 talk tracks (with one track dedicated to all things PyData)

Venue
The talks and tutorials will be held at The Carlu (444 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M5B 2H4) on November 16th & 17th. Look for the signs and take the elevator to the 7th floor.
The Carlu is accessible from College station via TTC.
Please follow the signs for College Park. From there, follow the signs to the elevators at the main floor.
Note: subway service starts at 8 am on Sunday.
For those driving, there is underground parking available at College Park. Please refer to this map for more information.
And to get from the parking garage to the venue, please refer to this map that shows you how to get to the Carlu elevators.
Time to arrive
We’ll be starting registration at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. The earlier you arrive to the start time, the less time you’ll have to wait in line to register and pick up your badge! Plus, you get first dibs on breakfast! Please bring proof of purchase so we know you bought a ticket.

We’re pleased to announce we’ll offering complimentary breakfast, lunch and snacks for both days.

Sign up for tutorials!
Tutorials are 1-hour hands-on workshops on a specific topic, and run in parallel to the three talk tracks. Tutorials are included in your ticket, but have limited seating!
There’s a few to choose from, including Container Workflows for Python Developers, from Microsoft:

Lightning Talks!
Lightning talks will take place at 9 am on Sunday morning. We’re giving any attendees 5 minutes to take the stage and speak to other attendees!
Open Spaces!
Open spaces will be available in Clipper Room! We will have some down time in the tutorial room, so feel free to sign it out for impromptu meet-ups.
In previous years we’ve had a variety of different open spaces including sticker open space, PyLadies open space and even an ‘intro to tying knots’ open space.

Childcare!
For those who have registered for childcare, please drop your children off at Courtyard Toronto Downtown hotel(475 Yonge St.) at the Leaside room. There will be staff there from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please pick up your children no later than 6:30 p.m.

PyCon Canada Sprints!
November 18-19 will be dedicated to sprints! Sprints are two days of intensive learning and development on an open source project of your choice, in a team environment. They will be held at the Mozilla Office in Toronto (366 Adelaide St W Suite 500) . If you’d like to participate, all you have to do is register here! You can also add your name to the projects being sprinted on in advance. No previous experience required.

Lieu
Les présentations et les tutoriels auront lieu au Carlu le 16 et 17 novembre. Repérez la signalisation et prenez l’ascenseur jusqu’au 7e étage.
Le Carlu est accessible en transport en commun depuis la transport College.
Suivez les indications pour College Park. De là, suivez les indications pour les ascenseurs de l’étage principal.
Notez bien: le métro ouvre à 8h le dimanche.
Pour les automobilistes, il y a un stationnement souterrain à College Park. Veuillez vous référer à cette carte pour plus de précisions.
Pour se rendre au colloque depuis le stationnement, référez-vous à cette carte qui vous indiquera comment vous rendre jusqu’aux ascenseurs du Carlu.
Heure d’arrivée
Nous commencerons l'inscription à 8h00 le samedi et à 8h30 le dimanche. Plus vous arrivez tôt, moins vous attendrez pour vous inscrire et de récupérer votre billet… en plus d’arriver en premier au déjeuner! Merci d’apporter une preuve d’achat pour que nous sachions que vous avez bien acheté un billet.

Les tutoriels sont des ateliers d’une heure où vous plongerez dans un sujet spécifique, ils auront lieu en parallèle des trois salles de présentations classiques. Présentations éclaires!
Nous organisons des présentations éclaires dimanche matin. Les présentations seront de 5 minutes. C’est une excellente occasion pour n’importe qui de présenter une idée sans trop de préparation.

Espace libre!
Dans la salle Clipper sera aménagé un espace libre. Un espace libre est une discussion improvisée de 30 minutes entre participants concernant un sujet particulier.
Les années précédentes, nous avons assisté à des moments autocollants, PyLadies et une introduction au noeuds.

Halte-garderie !
Pour ceux et celles qui se sont inscrits à la halte-garderie, merci d’aller reconduire vos enfants au Courtyard Toronto Downtown hotel (475 Yonge St.) au Leaside room. Des employés seront présents de 7h30 à 18h30. Merci d’aller chercher vos enfants au plus tard à 18h30.

Les 18 et 19 novembre seront dédiés aux sprints! Les sprints sont deux jours d’apprentissage intensif et de développement sur un projet libre de votre choix, le tout, en equipe.
