Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing has praised the "wonderful community spirit" at the Epping Town Show.
More than 60 stalls were manned by local organisations and businesses with a wide variety of arena entertainment provided throughout the day.
Art work was on display at the Jack SIlley Pavilion where teas and homemade cakes were sold by members of St John's Church to raise money for the Heart of Epping development appeal.
The event was organised by Epping Town Council and was officially opened by Town Mayor Tony Church.
Also present was the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, Michael Chapman.
Mrs Laing, who tried stilt walking with the circus skills team, said: "I have never seen so many people at the Epping Town Show and it was wonderful to see such a wonderful community spirit throughout the event with stall holders and visitors of all ages thoroughly enjoying themselves.
"A massive thank you must go to everyone at Epping Town Council who worked so hard to bring the show together."
