Stellenbosch Sport Ambassadors

The Stellenbosch Sport Ambassadors project (SSA) allowed us the opportunity and privilege to share our athletes’ stories. The SSA Facebook page received more than 450 “Likes” in just two months with some posts reaching approximately 20,000 people.

We would like to thank the SSA founding partners: The Stellenbosch Academy of Sport (SAS), Stellenbosch University and Stellenbosch Municipality, without which the SSA project would not have been possible. Caylix Sport was very proud to be the operational partner for the Stellenbosch to Rio campaign and the SSA initiative going forward. Watch this space for further developments!

Caylix Sport gains new team members

We could not have accomplished all our goals without the valuable input of two amazing new members of the team, Ameerah Smith & Ludwig Gerstner. It is such a pleasure to have you on board. Thank you for the positive energy and enormous efforts you add!

The support of our trusted partners is pivotal to our success and performance. We value their active involvement and acknowledge their continuous contribution to who we are and what we do. A huge thank you to:

Dr Chris van der Merwe and Andries Greyling for your trust in us! Your incredible assistants, Wilmarie and Toinette deserve a special acknowledgement for keeping your hectic schedules on track. We are proud to be associated with the Curro brand!

Digicall Group

Altmann Allers, Ruben Moggee and team - we look forward to many more successful ITF Futures tournaments. Thank you for sharing our vision of what we can do to support our local talent.

Stellenbosch Academy of Sport

Rob Benadie - what would we do without a superior accommodation partner such as SAS. Thank you to you and your incredible team Abel, Kristiaan, Jenilee and all the other members of the team. It is great to have you as neighbours.

Chill Beverages

Grant & Ross Hobbs, Dean Teubes and James Shaw – thank you for your incredible support in being our soft drinks partner. The Living Legends Touch and Sevens teams are enormously blessed to have SCORE as their Title Sponsor. Anneli Karsten and team – not a function is held without the lovely Caylix Sport labelled Vintales wines. This great wine also supports Living Legends with a percentage of sales on every bottle and with the Festive Season around the corner; you cannot go wrong by having some refreshing Vintales Sea Breeze Sauvignon Blanc, Lazy Days Chenin Blanc, Road Trip Pinotage or Crowded Café Cabernet Sauvignon on your table!

Deon Engelbrecht and team - we are proud to have this great craft beer on tap at our golf days & clinics to help quench the thirst after 9 or 18 holes of hard work!

ITF Tennis Tournaments

A very successful Curro Junior ITFs and Digicall Futures Series was hosted at Maties Tennis Club, Coetzenburg Sport Grounds from mid September to mid November. South African Lloyd Harris achieved the amazing feat of winning 6 consecutive Future tournaments – 30 match wins in a row (3 in Egypt and the 3 here in Stellenbosch), improving his world ranking to 266. Visit our Facebook page and website for photos and videos.

It was good to have Lloyd, the first ever Curro Tennis pupil, sharing some memories with Curro Tennis director, Jared Temlett, and current pupil Amelie Boy. Amelie made her debut at Futures level this year, having received a Wild Card entry via the Curro Wild Card Initiative for week 1 and via the ITF Development Fund for week 2.

CURRO National Tennis Academy

We are extremely privileged to be working with a National Corporate brand like Curro on this project!

The roll-out of the Curro Tennis program has been a wonderful journey so far and is currently operational at the following schools, with expansion in these regions and into Gauteng planned for 2017.

KZN – Hillcrest, Newcastle & Mount Richmore (Ballito)
Western Cape – Sitari

Herewith a few video interviews with the team behind it all, sharing their vision, as well as rising star Lloyd Harris, who was the first player benefitting from the Curro Tennis Academy.

Sally Little Golf

The inaugural Pink Stig Invitational at Sun City on 28 November was the grand finale to the various book launches of the Sally Little biography, “Capturing the Fire”. Sally’s induction into the South African Hall of Fame was celebrated in style. Unimedia Pro Team, Zahira Hansa (CEO), Dhiren Mehta, PGA pro Werner Kapp, Nusrah Cassiem & Rayana Edwards did a fabulous job in putting this event together and with their vision for women’s golf in SA, we look forward to a bright future for our female golf stars.

Kinetic Kids

We recently started the process to register our trademarks and with that a new name and logo was developed for Kinetic Kids, which will, from 2017, be marketed as KinetiX with a new logo (on the left) fitting in with our corporate identity.

A very successful “Toolbox Workshop” was presented at Hompie Kedompie Pre-primary School on 27 August with a number of teachers attending and benefitting from this “soul food” experience.

That is it from our side for now. We wish each of our great supporters a summer holiday filled with many happy new beginnings!
