November 30, 2015 Pulitzer Prize-Winning Reporter Julie Cart
Joins CALmatters Former Los Angeles Times reporter is the startup’s newest hire SACRAMENTO, CA (November 30, 2015) CALmatters announced today that Julie Cart, an award-winning environmental reporter for the Los Angeles Times, will join its growing team of experienced journalists to explore the state’s most pressing policy issues.
Cart will write about the environment for CALmatters, a topic she has covered extensively as an environment reporter in Los Angeles and former national correspondent in the paper’s Denver bureau. In 2009, Cart was part of a reporter duo that won the Pulitzer Prize for Explanatory Reporting for a series of stories about wildfires across the Western United States.
