This year the leaders of our global network inspired us with their resolve in the face of extreme challenges. Behind headlines and beyond borders, they are tirelessly working for peace, justice and equality. They are resilient and their vision for the future is bold.

Because of your support, together we achieved significant progress this year. Here are just a few highlights from 2015:
- We made individualized investments in women taking on the world’s most urgent problems. Through an emergency response fund, we enabled leaders in 14 countries to support 180 survivors of gender-based violence, including Syrian refugees, Iraqi women and girls formerly captured by ISIS, and Nigerian girls who have escaped Boko Haram.
- And we set in motion a powerful cycle of mentoring that’s already delivering results. Representing 47 countries, 215 alumnae of our VV GROW Fellowship each went on to mentor 27 people following the program, sharing knowledge, access and power.

In difficult times, we know that women bear a disproportionate burden. And yet we continue to see women leaders generate breakthrough solutions. In 2015 we directly served 1046 of these leaders.
