Make a Miniature Faerie Container Garden
Wed. June 29th 10 - 12

(Please note this class is tomorrow. We still have a couple spots so call to register right away.)
We have had so much fun with this class. Although we have seen so many adults make faerie gardens, we also have seen a lot of children make them too. So we decided to offer a class for both children and adults. We will have a Faerie Garden Kit available that includes a container, potting soil, plants and $15 worth of accessories. For those of you that already have your container and accessories, we will just charge for your supplies. The interest in these miniature gardens continues to grow. Faerie gardens are miniature gardens that are meant to look like they were actually built by faeries. These gardens can be placed among your conventional gardens or nearby your favorite garden bench. Faerie Gardens often include garden props, tools, and tiny whimsical toys along with your favorite flowers, herbs or perennials to evoke their magical fairy gardeners.
Come and learn how to construct a faerie garden. Also we hope that you will feel the inspiration to draw from your subconscious magical childhood memories, to create the perfect miniature garden using those beautiful arbors, fences, patios, or whatever you decide makes a soothing, peaceful garden. This will be a hands on workshop. Join Reenie, and step back into your childhood and recreate those magical garden memories. Cost is $35.00 for Kit or cost of your supplies.

Leaves that last Forever, ‘Concrete Leaf Castings’
July 20th. 10-12 PM

Concrete leaves can be used as birdbaths or simply unique garden ornaments. The supplies you need to bring with you are: large leaf (that you would like to cast) waterproof gloves, a sturdy board at least 24” in diameter and be sure to wear old clothes. The concrete leaf will stay here for at least 2-3 days so it can dry for you. This is always a fun class. You will be amazed on how easy this is to do. We thought this class will be easy so if you would like to do another concrete leaves you can for an extra $10.00. If you don’t have resource to large leaves let us know and we will have one for you.

We are STILL hopping at Rae’s Roost Nature Shop!
It has been a BUSY time at “The Roost”! And I apologize for not always being in when I am supposed to be there. I am currently working a night job 2 or 3 nights / week, so Thursdays have taken another hit. My suggestion? Just give me a call first and see what part of the country I am in (no kidding). My new number is 315-237-2712. I do know it is rotten when you plan on seeing someone and they are M.I.A. But I do appreciate your business!
Also, I will soon be traveling directly to Pine Tree Farms to purchase suets and seed cakes, so my prices should drop. P.T.F. is the only brand I sell for two reasons. Their products are top quality AND they are located right in Interlaken, NY!!! If you want orioles at your feeders, put out one of their orange suets!!!! What a sight!
