Summer & Fall Calendar
A few updates have been made to the Summer/Fall Calendar. Print and post at home! The synced calendar will be updated soon. Additional Percussion Dates, East Cobber Parade and a few other activities have been added. Chop Shop for Percussion on May 19th will now be May 18th - please make that change when you print the calendar.
Fall Marching Band/Guard Registration Due May 6th
New and Returning Band and Guard Students participating in Fall Marching Band must be registered and deposit paid by May 6th. This will ensure that our numbers are set and our drill writer can begin working on the marching show so it's ready by July Band Camp. Questions? Please email

    • Be sure to check mark Marching and Concert Band if your student is a wind or percussion player and has a band class during the day so we have record of them for the concert season.

      • Please Note - ALL Students (except colorguard) will need to order a New Banner Shirt this year. We are going to a Black, Dri-Fit shirt instead of white. 
    • August 1st - Installment #1
    • September 1st - Installment #2, Senior Brick/Trojan Head
    • December 1st - Concert Fees Due
Banquet Program Ads/Help Needed
Our Band Banquet is scheduled for May 14th at 6:00pm in the Lassiter gym. If you would like to purchase an ad (picture and message) for your student, please following the process below: Please Help! - 4 people to help design (ahead of time) and set up (day of event) decorations. If you are a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior parent, please consider donating a little bit of your time to help. Please email if you can help.
April 30th Recycle Day Signup- More Help Needed
Last big fundraiser of the year and last chance for students to earn service hours. We will need parent and student help!

Please share the flyer on your social media and your neighborhood social media pages!
Concert Uniform Collection - Important!
  • May 6th Concert - Students need to bring a change of clothes to the concert.  
  • Turn in concert tux jacket, pants and dress after the performance. 
  • All returning students will hang their concert clothes on a labeled hanger before dismissing.  
  • Any students not attending the concert should put their concert attire on the rack outside the uniform closet before May 6th.
  • There are 25 borrowed bowties that are missing.  This means half of all tux wearing students have multiple ties and there are none left to loan out.  Please make sure your student brings their bow tie and returns the one they borrowed.  
Sponsor Board - Local Companies You Do Business With
As mentioned in the previous Blast, our New Sponsor Board is COMPLETE and ready for MORE Sponsors! We need your HELP! Please ask local businesses you frequent if they would like to become a sponsor! Please contact for more information. 
Painting, Bricks, Signup Genius, Middle School/Welcome
We know what you are thinking. What does this mean? Well, we need some help!
  • Painting and Bricks - we need a Chairperson(s) to oversee the Senior Trojan Heads and Bricks Committee! Sandy Pittman has done a fantastic job over the years and will be "graduating" this May. Low time commitment - Trojan Heads in the Fall and Brick installation in the spring! 
  • Signup Genius - do you know how to use Signup Genius? We need a Chairperson to head up our Volunteer Committee. Each time we have a event and need volunteers, you will be given the dates, times, number of people needed and you create the signup. Easy and you can do it from home! 
  • Middle School/Welcome Committee - we are looking for 2 people to do the following:
    • Organize volunteers to welcome rising 9th grade families during Spring Fling (we can help you identify parents to help) 
    • Organizing volunteers (1 per section) to serve as the go to person for each section during the Fall - welcome email/phone call at the start of band camp and periodically during the season when important news needs to be communicated. 
    • Help Co-Presidents on the morning of band camp with our new parent social. We did this last year and we had a great turnout. It was in the morning as parents were dropping off kids, very informal, we had a table setup outside the bandroom with coffee and donuts. We just mingled and answered questions.
    • And any ideas you have - run with it!

Synchronizing the Band Calendar:

Google Calendar Sync and Android Phones
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar. (
  2. On the left, next to "Other calendars," click Add From URL.
  3. Enter the calendar's address in the field provided:
  4. Click Add calendar. The calendar will appear on the left side under "Other calendars."
Note: It may take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.
  1. Go into the Settings app
  2. Touch "Accounts & Passwords"
  3. On the Accounts & Passwords screen, touch "Add Account"
  4. On the Add Account screen, touch "Other"
  5. Under Calendars, touch "Add Subscribed Calendar"
  6. For the Server value, enter the URL for the teacher calendar:
  7. Touch "Next" in the upper right corner.
  8. It will verify the server then show a subscription page. Change the description if you like.
  9. Touch "Save" to save the subscription.
