STEM at Sea
This week, high school students from North Bend, Waldport, and Newport and a high school teacher from Toledo will be aboard Oregon State University's R/V Oceanus for a Shipboard STEM Research Experience. Follow their adventures through the Oregon Coast STEM Hub blog and Facebook pages!

RECENT EVENTS

ORSEA Kick-off
The Oregon Marine Scientist and Educator Alliance (ORSEA) formed over the summer. Eight marine scientists and 16 Oregon math/science educators met and formed teams to focus on issues of ocean ecology, career-connected learning, and effective science communication practices. They will work together throughout the year! More info
Wee Engineer
In early August, Boston Museum of Science educators led a "Wee Engineer" workshop for Oregon early childhood educators. The 22 participants gathered at the Newport Public Library and explored the 3-step engineering design process that guides learning: Explore, Create, Improve. More photos
