The Oregon Marine Scientist and Educator Alliance (ORSEA) formed over the summer. Eight marine scientists and 16 Oregon math/science educators met and formed teams to focus on issues of ocean ecology, career-connected learning, and effective science communication practices. In early August, Boston Museum of Science educators led a "Wee Engineer" workshop for Oregon early childhood educators. The 22 participants gathered at the Newport Public Library and explored the 3-step engineering design process that guides learning: Explore, Create, Improve. More photos
