Salmon Bowl NOSB
Feb 1 in Corvallis

National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) high school teams compete in this ocean-focused quiz bowl. Teams from several coast schools compete each year! More info

BPA Science Bowl
Feb 8 for MS, Feb 22 for HS, in Portland

This fast-paced academic bowl tests student knowledge in all aspects of science: math, geology, chemistry, physics, environmental science and more. More info

MATHCOUNTS
Feb 20 in Coos Bay

Middle school teams compete in a series of fun math contests. Team registration closes Dec 1st. More info

Oregon Coast Renewable Energy Challenge
March 31 in Newport

Students in Gr 4-12 bring their wind, wave, and solar energy devices to compete at Hatfield Marine Science Center. Save the date; more info coming soon. In the meantime, watch this video

RECENT EVENTS

On November 16th, Oregon Sea Grant and South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve held a workshop for 17 south coast educators. The focus of the workshop was MWEEs (Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences). Read more
