Last week Caltech's Zwicky Transient Facility, a robotic survey camera at Palomar Observatory, caught an image of the closest know asteroid to fly by Earth.

The Hubble Space Telescope observed Comet C/2020 P1 NEOWISE survived its journey around the sun. NEOWISE (Near-Earth Object WISE) mission data is processed at Caltech's IPAC.

Last week, the international GROWTH collaboration, led by Caltech's Mansi Kasliwal, held its summer school online attracting more than 800 applications from 80 countries. The selected students engaged in discussions and interactive Python workshops on photometry, spectroscopy, multi-wavelength data analysis and remote observing sessions with GROWTH-related facilities. All lectures and modules from the GROWTH school will be freely available.
