Congratulations to the DSA project, which has successfully completed its Preliminary Design Review in January, with full construction commencing this summer. The Deep Synoptic Array (DSA), jointly led by faculty member Gregg Hallinan and incoming new faculty member Vikram Ravi, is a 110-dish radio astronomy experiment that will be located at Caltech's Owens Valley Radio Observatory (OVRO) and is designed to study Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs).
The Linde dedication last week was a success, with Ron and Maxine Linde symbolically opening the doors of Caltech Mathematics for upcoming decades of research. The design of the new space was recently featured in the Interior Design magazine webpage.
