The Caltech breakthrough campaign events include a campus-and-family-inclusive evening on April 29th and will feature a "PMA Experiential Station" that will showcase two interactive mini-interferometers. Please note that there will be some construction noises near Millikan library next week in preparation for the fun events. Save the date and stop by to learn more about how an interferometer works and its part in the LIGO experiment, while enjoying our community, food, and drinks!
The NOvA experiment has, with Ryan Patterson (BS '00), an assistant professor of physics and the leader of NOvA's data-analysis team, published its first results in Physical Review Letters this month. Read more...
