Bingo Chair/Co-Chairs Needed
There are many opportunities to engage with your Meadowbrook PTO and volunteer. We currently need one or two caregivers to lead our Bingo event. We're excited to announce that Meadowbrook is bringing Art Adventure back into classrooms this year in a virtual format after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic.
PARENTS, ARE YOU INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Art Adventure is a wonderful way to engage with the students and become a memorable part of their classroom experience. Sign up to lead (often entertaining and insightful) discussions with students about artwork from the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) collection. No previous experience required. All training provided by Mia and shadowing opportunities available.
TEACHERS, ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING?
Let us tailor to your needs. Do you want three classroom sessions? Or is a single session better? What month is best? Do you want art projects included or not? We are flexible and ready to work with you.
A reminder from Lost and Found as you start buying winter gear/sending kids in hoodies and lightweight jackets: please remember to label them; even just writing the name of the child on the tag is helpful. Use a permanent marker.
Water bottles galore are showing up in Lost and Found! Please add your child's name to their water bottle. Using a piece of tape is great!
Meadowbrook Online Directory
The start of the school year is a great time to either register with our Meadowbrook Online Directory or check your profile for any needed updates.
Did you receive two handouts at Open House, one for the Parent Portal and one for the Online Directory, and not know the difference? You're not alone!
The Online Directory is a PTO-sponsored student & family directory that helps you connect with other families. The District also collects your contact information via the Parent Portal, but this data is not searchable by families.
The Online Directory is updated! Download the PTOffice App or visit Meadowbrookpto.ptoffice.com to search the directory. Please register for the directory, if you haven't already. We are hoping to get 80% participation and are currently at 63% school-wide. Third grade already hit the participation goal with 81% of students listed in the directory!
Calling all Mingle Volunteers!
If you'd like to be part of the Mingle's future success, we have opportunities for you! Any and all volunteers for the next Mingle should email MeadowbrookSA@gmail.com to express your interest. The 2021 Meadowbrook Mingle raised over $32,000 for our community.
