Patriotic Park Cleanup
Friday, July 5, 2019
2 work shifts: 7 AM - 9 AM or 9AM – 11 AM
Hosted by Friends of Lincoln Park and Milwaukee County Parks
Cleaning up the park on July 5th is patriotic. It's one of the most difficult days for Park Staff. They put in a long day on July 4th, supporting picnics, parades and tons of park traffic leading up to the fireworks. Sign up for a cleanup shift to help out. Two work shifts to choose from, 7 am-9 am or 9am -11 am. Use this link to RSVP. Meet at the Lincoln Park Blatz Pavilion, 1301 W. Hampton Ave.
Join us for the Parade and Fireworks on July 4th.
We hope you'll join us in this celebration of our nation's independence. Fireworks in Lincoln Park begin just after sunset. Friends of Lincoln Park also plans to join the Glendale July 4th Parade. If you'd care to join us, please reply to this email or email Contact@LincolnParkFriends.org
Paddle in the Park
Sunday July 7th, 1:00 pm
Friends of Lincoln Park invites you to paddle with us to celebrate urban wilderness. We will explore the beautiful and wild East Oxbow of Lincoln Park with its cattails, waterfowl and a beaver lodge. Explore a 50 acre pond with 3 channels and 4 islands on the Milwaukee River. The route is appropriate for canoes or kayaks. We plan to put in and take out at the same landing, not shuttling.

A Super THANK YOU to Concert Sponsors
Our first Summer Concert was a huge success!
We fretted about the weather and all the details, but the stage, food, band and a beautiful audience arrived for our FIRST summer concert in the park. The clouds broke and we had SUNSHINE! Everyone kept asking "When is the next one? Will this be every tuesday? Unfortunately, a small volunteer group like ours was really stretched thin to pull off just this one event. We certainly could not have done it without our generous sponsors and partnering organizations.
Many THANKS to our concert sponsors
- Covanta Environmental Solutions (Presenting Partner)
- WFA Staffing Group
- Athea Laboratories, Inc
- Acme Productions
Organizations partnering to make this event a success were Northwest Side Community Development Corp, Milwaukee County Parks and Friends of Lincoln Park. To become a sponsor for our 2020 Concert, contact Dani Breen: email@example.com
. We are especially grateful to Dani Breen of NWSCDC and Sierra Taliaferro of Lincoln Park Friends for their tireless work.
We can use your financial support too.
Dog-poop stations, yard signs, gloves, trash pickers, weed-out tools, t-shirts, fliers and posters are not free. We love the sweat equity you give to our park but we could use your financial support too.
