Milwaukee River Greenway Turns 15

Click to view map of GreenwayIn 2006, the Milwaukee River Greenway was established by ordinance by the village of Shorewood and Milwaukee followed suit in 2010.  That same year, a coalition of stakeholder groups created a Master Plan for the Greenway. You can read more at this link. This year, the River Revitalization Foundation and 9 other partners in the Greenway Coalition are planning a huge, 15 week celebration along the entire Greenway, which runs from Humboldt Avenue to Silver Spring Drive. Friends of Lincoln Park is celebrating "Greenway Week" in Lincoln Park from July 25th through August 1st. Stay tuned and join us in Lincoln Park for Arts, Music, Culture Recreation and Nature.
