Join Spring Service Days in Lincoln Park

Saturdays May 26th and June 16th
9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Garlic mustard is an invasive plant that crowds out native wildflowers and hampers woodland diversity.  We need your help to remove it and make the park more beautiful to enjoy.
Meet in the Parking Lot at Emil Blatz Pavilion, 1301 W Hampton Ave. If you arrive late, look for a note on our whereabouts
Please wear long pants and walking shoes. We will be in woodland areas.
This is a great activity for civic clubs or an easy way to fulfill volunteer hours for school. If you are unable to make it on these days and would like to participate on a different day text Anne Vaillancourt at: 414-399-8272  or

Blaze New Trail - the Lincoln, Estabrook Connector Trail

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2-5pm (every Tuesday until completed)

Connector Trail MapThis is a work outing to blaze new trail where none previously existed. This is a joint project of Friends of Lincoln Park, Friends of Estabrook Park and Milwaukee County Parks. The new trail will traverse under three bridges to connect two county parks and create a continuous river-side trail from Capitol Drive to
Silver Spring Dr.

Work to Continue all Summer

We will continue this project every Tuesday afternoon from 2-5 pm until the project is completed. Please park in the Lincoln Park Golf Course parking lot, 1000 W Hampton Ave and look across the road for a "Celebrate Lincoln Park" sign for our work location. This is a work outing so dress appropriately. Gloves and tools will be provided. Experienced trail builders will instruct participants in trail-building technique. We'll use shovels, loppers, pulaskis and mcclouds. These are trail building tools for digging and leveling the pathway. This trail blazing outing is not suitable for all - moderate physical fitness is required for this outing. In the event of heavy rain, we will postpone work until the following Tuesday. Check our Facebook page for work progress updates.
