The Patriots Season Starts Sunday

...The Regular Season Was a Warm Up

The New England Patriots are in the Super Bowl (again) this Sunday. We would like to remind all students to be respectful and responsible fans and neighbors before, during, and after the game. All Boston College students are expected to abide by state and city laws, as well as the student codes of conduct. It is also our expectation that your behavior will reflect favorably on yourself as well as on Boston College. Please review this notice provided by the Boston Police Department.

Students have always proven to be responsible and respectful during previous championship games featuring local teams... and there have been a lot of championships over the years!

Winter Heating Reminder

Don't Be Left in the Cold

In units that are heated by the landlord, heat must be on from September 15th through June 15th. The temperature in the unit must not be less than 68 degrees Fahrenheit between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. and 64 degrees Fahrenheit between 11:01 p.m. and 6:59 a.m. There is a maximum allowable temperature of 78 degrees. (Code 23. 105 C.M.R. 410.201). Tenants with complaints should report them to the landlord, preferably in writing. If the landlord fails to make the repairs after a reasonable time or if a problem needs immediate attention to eliminate a health risk, the tenant should report the violation to the City of Boston Inspectional Services Department (ISD) at 617-635-5300. Some common code violations include: insufficient heat or hot water, windows that are not weather-tight, and sidewalks or means of egress that have not been shoveled.
