Hello all and Happy Spring!
Here's a heads up on two of my pieces in the KCOS TV Auction and yummy food art in various local shows.  Enjoy!

KCOS Art Auction

"Flor del Sol" is one of my paintings for this year's KCOS TV Art Auction.  It is an 11" x 15" watercolor framed to 16" x 20" inn a pale blue gray barnwood frame.   It will come up for auction this Saturday, April 21st in the 6-6:30 time slot.  Bidding starts at $125 so it's a great opportunity to purchase an original Rachel Murphree watercolor and support public TV in our community!   See https://www.kcosartauction.org/sat-april-21 for further info.
Gone but Not Forgotten: Globe Mills will also be auctioned the following Saturday night in the 5-5:30 times slot.  It is an 11"  x 14"  painting framed to 16: x 20".  Bidding starts at $140 for this piece documenting a part of El Paso history that has been torn down to facilitate the I-10/Border Highway Loop project.  It would be a great gift or opportunity for an El Paso ex-pat, and now they can view the auction and bid on the homepage and Facebook.  See https://www.kcosartauction.org/sat-apr-28 for further info.
This year for the first time KCOS will be streaming the auction live on their facebook page and on their home page. To learn how you can bid, see https://www.kcosartauction.org/auction-process.
I have two watercolor paintings in the El Paso Art Association's  show called "On the Menu".  Jenna's Cupcake" is framed to to 16" x 20" and is priced at $325.  I'm pleased to say that Apples a la Blasdell  won a Sponsor's award from Kona Grill!  It is larger, framed to 22" x 28" and is priced at $300.

The show runs until May 12th at the Crossland Gallery, 500 W. Paisano, and the gallery hours are 11-4 Tues-Friday, and 9-1 on Saturday.  See http://elpasoartassociation.com/crossland-gallery for more info.
My watercolor, "In the Spotlight",  is in the Cruces' New Mexico Watercolor Society show at the Rokoko Gallery, 1785 Avenida de Mercado, Mesilla. This the second time I have painted this vegetable still life of kale, scape (the curly part of garlic that is above ground) and of course a wonderful juicy red pepper.  It is framed with plexiglass with a white double mat and priced at $300.Gallery hours for this Exhibit: Wed.-Sat. 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sun. 1:00-5:00 p.m.  The show comes down on April 28th.
Dont' forget, my prints, cards, and magnets are at the Marketplace @ Placita Santa Fe, at the Crossroads, Doniphan and Mesa.  Fellow artists Candy Mayer, Melinda Etzold and Nina Eaton  are now at the Marketplace, so please stop by!
Go ahead and share with any friends you think may be interested, and thanks again for signing up for my newsletter!  Talk to you soon.... Artfully yours, Rachel
