Join filmmaker Craig Dudnick on Sunday, March 19 from 1:00 to 3:00 in the library ballroom for a showing of the documentary film Alice’s Ordinary People.  In the 1960s when Mayor Richard J. Daley’s Democratic machine dominated Chicago politics, Civil Rights activist Alice Tregay started a grassroots movement that would push that machine aside to elect the city’s first black mayor in 1983. Hear Alice and her fellow crusaders tell the story of how they changed politics in Chicago to give unheard communities a voice.
