The poppy in 2017: to wear or not to wear? Sunday 4 November I £7
The poppy has been used as a symbol of remembrance for those in conflicts from the First World War to today. Join public figures from sportspeople to historians, journalists and politicians to discuss what it means to wear a poppy in 2017.
Join us to remember those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world. A Royal Marine bugler will play the Last Post and Reveille and a local young musician will play IWM's 'Western Front' violin.
Our Annual Peace Lecture is Freedom from fear, Unions for peace and will be led by Philip Jennings, General Secretary of UNI Global Union. The lecture is organised by the Movement for the Abolition of War.
