Greetings from high country...

Deeply Grateful

...to you! In case you bump this to the read-later pile, I want you to know two things: I am grateful for you being my life and part of my community. And, gift certificates are on sale online if you are still searching for the perfect gift that says "I love you."

I know the holidays can be a mixed bag for people. For some, it's lonely, and I wish you the best companionship you can possibly be for yourself. Know that you are loved. We are all connected and in this together on a deeper level. For those who find it stressful, I am wishing you peace. And for those who find them joyful, I am wishing you good cheer and delight. Its ok to be right where you are at, and all in different places. Sending you all love!

Despite our best plans, sometimes life takes turns in unexpected ways. When that happens, we are invited to be in the not knowing, when nothing is certain. This stretches our capacities to relax and crest with the waves, surrendering to what the great fabric of Life has in store, feeling our way along the threads, allowing ourselves to be woven.

Once upon a time, my focus - and much of our culture - was on manifesting my heart's desires. As the decades have gone by, I grew restless with the limits of my own desires, as what I truly wanted was to be of the highest service to humanity and life on earth. Interestingly, past coaches advised against surrendering to highest service. Because it may not be comfortable, it may not be something we like. It could be dangerous. It goes against our Western cultural upbringing. Essentially, avoiding risking ourselves to the unknown.

Many of you know after 16 years of private practice in the healing arts, I went back to grad school to pursue a PhD. What you may not know, is I did that to step in the direction of being of the highest service possible, setting aside my own desires (ie more free time - lol), in an effort to help even more people on this fantastic planet.

I don't know about you, but I am more fulfilled building things for the we, than me. So, I surrendered. I've been invited to trust deeper, past when the map of ideas have gone dark, being with the Mystery, the not knowing, using finely honed skills of listening to subtle energies to feel my way to new territory. Something IS happening, but sometimes when we define it too soon, we can limit what develops, just like in soulcentric intuitive painting. The power is in patience with the listening, meeting what is, in the moment, and let it unfold, into a more meaningful engagement than our conscious mind could at first imagine.

Now is a time when the world is changing, a time of acceleration, when each person is invited to heal and wake up, contributing to the vibration of compassion and care for all of humanity. Being the love that we are, our unique drop in the ocean, that affects all the drops in proximity. Shifting our awareness into conscious choice shapes each of our realities during this time our planet is brinking... brink of collapse, or brink of worldwide change and evolution, that gets to be our choice.

I am grateful to all my past teachers and healers for the gifts they've shared with me -  Breathwork for helping open to my path and inner truth. Process painting for learning to feel my way into unknown territory, and allowing the Mystery to unfold. Both practices have allowed me to learn to listen more deeply.

So, for now, the story still being written has brought us to Western Colorado to help family, until the next direction comes clear. It feels like it may be a transitional place, or maybe not, it remains to be seen how it all unfolds. Being in this new environment is very eye opening to the ease of the California coast; survival is a daily ritual here - the elements are extreme, 6,900 feet up, as is the drought when there isn't snow. There is also great beauty, the gift to make it all worthwhile. While there is a lot of concern for the future, local moods have certainly lifted with the first flurries of the season!

As 2018 comes to a close, I find myself pausing to reflect on the last couple years, noticing all the changes that have occurred since losing my home in Occidental to the forces of the housing crisis. I never had the intention of leaving that home nor my practice on Main Street. And, surrendering to what is, has allowed another way to open up, a re-focussing on my creative expression, my personal growth, and to expand my online clientele, that may lead me to where I need to be. And right now, I'm exactly where I need to be, even as messy, chaotic and odd as it may be.

One of the hardest things about leaving California was moving away from my in-person community. I am grateful I still see some of you when I drop in monthly, and super grateful for those of you have continued our work via online video. Without you, I wouldn't have my sense of purpose fulfilled from helping others. Deeply, I thank each of you for continuing our relationship which has meaning for us both.

And, I am very appreciative for your referrals to your friends around (and outside!) the country. Hurray for online technology!

I am grateful to guide you towards wholeness, compassion, love, and joy, radiating as the magnificent being that you are. Together, we dissolve the blocks to your authentic being, healing past pain and unhealthy patterns. This makes the world a better place to be in, one person at a time. Thank you for showing up to do the work, ask the questions, commit to your well-being, and path. We may never know our own impact on others. But what we do know, is that we have the chance to affect others in a million small ways. Often powerful changes go unpraised. The invitation is to do it anyways, for the we, for all of us.

For those who come see me in Sebastopol, thank you for helping my trips be possible. My next Sebastopol office days are January 17th, 18th, and Sunday the 20th, with a possibility of adding some other days if those fill up, just ask, or take a peek at my online calendar

Lastly, if you are looking for a meaningful gift for a loved one this holiday, what about the gift of self-care and self-love? I'm delighted to say that Gift certificates are now available online! And, they are on special of 10% off for the holidays. You can even pick your own design, and either send it to yourself to print, or email it directly to your friend. These gifts can be used in-person in California or Colorado, or online.

The same groovy credit card processing company I've been using for years now provides both these and the online scheduling (worldwide) for your convenience. (Purchases and scheduling is as safe as running your card in my office :)

I am wishing you each a wonderful holiday time. Many blessings to you and your loved ones. Sending love out to each and every one of you.

I hope to see you soon, or in the new year!

Much love,
