Your questions: Answered

I haven’t been vaccinated yet. At this point of the semester, shouldn’t I just wait?

We understand your reluctance to start a vaccine series during such a stressful time of the semester and as we’re getting close to transitioning to summer.

It is still recommended that you start your vaccine series right away. Don’t delay beginning to be vaccinated until you reach your summer destination!

Even just the first dose of the vaccine provides you and your community protection from the spread of COVID-19.

Many retail pharmacies and mass vaccination sites are now able to accommodate people who require only a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, and those sites that do not do so now may be more accommodating as vaccine supply increases.

The Carolina Vaccination Clinic has moved to Student Stores Pharmacy on the top floor of UNC Student Stores. It now offers walk-in vaccinations Wednesdays - Fridays from 9 - 12:30 and 1:30 - 5 pm, or you can schedule online.

The clinic is open to UNC students and post docs (as well as their partners/spouses eligible for care at Campus Health) and employees.

When you have your initial appointment, the staff will help you make a plan for your second dose.
