54 Year Old Burner Retrofitted With A New Register

Recently a customer called us looking to repair their existing Faber burner.  After 54 years of reliable operation, the register bushings and linkages were worn out, effecting burner performance.  After receiving some photos, we sent a Factory Service Engineer to the jobsite to confirm our drawings so we could expedite the delivery of a new air register.  Since this was the plant’s only boiler, reducing down time was critical.  For this reason, this order entered our shop as a “priority project” and was constructed in a highly efficient manner.

After the air register was fabricated and shipped, a Factory Service Engineer was sent to the jobsite to support the install and start up.

With the new air register installed, the boiler was up and running promptly, eliminating a lengthy shut down.  The customer was very pleased.

Take a look at the before and after photos below.

The new register...

After fabrication, it was primed and boxed for shipping.  We sent our service technician along, separately, of course.  He made sure the install and start up went smoothly, so the boiler was up and running quickly.
