Welcome to UNDP´s Cities and Urbanization Network!
UNDP welcomes you to its new Cities and Urbanization Network, a group of professionals and practitioners interested in sustainable cities and all things urban!
This quarterly newsletter will share the work of UNDP and its partners in supporting more sustainable cities and the UN Global Agendas.
We work closely with local and regional governments, member states, international networks, architects, the business community and the UN system to support SDG 11 and the urban dimension of Agenda 2030. Through the launch of its Sustainable Urbanization Strategy, UNDP formally committed to support the New Urban Agenda implementation, following its three interlinked principles to “leave no one behind”, “ensure sustainable and inclusive urban economies” and “ensure environmental sustainability”.
This newsletter aims to be a meeting point to exchange with our partners, country offices and the global urban community in order to make the UN Global Agendas a reality for all, everywhere.
City2City Network is a peer-to-peer learning platform, hosted by UNDP, but open to all.
